The Apostille Treaty or Apostille Convention (signed in 1961 in The Hague) is an international agreement between countries to simply the legalization process of official documents. The treaty means that the apostille is the only necessary form of legalization if the documents are used in the countries that have signed the treaty.

The apostille itself is a stamp of the court that certifies that your document is authentic, allowing it to be legally used in international documents exchange.
