Certified transfer deed translation
You can have your transfer deed translated under oath at Ecrivus International. A transfer deed(also called a deed of delivery or leveringsakte) is drawn up by the notary and signed when a property is transferred. With this deed the ownership of real estate is officially transferred. The deed of delivery is registered with the Land Registry (Kadaster) and can be requested there. For use abroad or with a foreign authority a sworn translation is often needed. The price for translating your transfer deed starts from €59.
What is a certified translation of a transfer deed?
A sworn translation is a translation produced by a translator registered in the Dutch Register of Sworn Interpreters and Translators (Rbtv). The translator provides the translation with a stamp, a signature and a statement that the translation matches the source document. This makes the translation legally valid and accepted by official authorities at home and abroad. An ordinary translation does not have this status.
Why have a transfer deed translated under oath?
Anyone buying or selling a property or real estate abroad, or who has to demonstrate a Dutch ownership situation to a foreign authority, often needs a sworn translation of the transfer deed for that. A foreign notary, bank or government body usually only accepts a translation with the stamp and statement of a sworn translatorin question. This way the receiving party knows that the legal content of the deed has been carried over correctly. For use abroad an apostille or legalisation is needed. An apostille is issued by the court under the Apostille Convention (The Hague Convention 1961).

What is a transfer deed?
