Certified regulations translation

Do you need a sworn translation of a regulations for official use? At Ecrivus International you arrange this entirely online. What is a certified translation of regulations?

A sworn translation is produced by a translator registered in the Dutch Register of Sworn Interpreters and Translators (Rbtv). The translator adds a statement, stamp and signature confirming that the translation is a faithful and accurate rendering of the original document. This makes the translation legally valid and accepted by authorities that require an official translation.

What are the rules for a sworn translation?

The sworn translator declares that the translation is a faithful and accurate representation of the original document or a copy of it. On the sworn translation you will also find the stamp and signature of the sworn translatorin question. The translator must be registered in the Dutch Register of Sworn Interpreters and Translators (Rbtv).

What does a certified regulations translation cost?

At Ecrivus a sworn translation of a regulations starts from €59 per page. The final price depends on the number of pages and the chosen language combination. Less common languages are usually higher than frequently requested languages.

Do I need an apostille on the translation of my regulations?

It depends on the country and the authority where you use the document. For use abroad an apostille. An apostille is issued by the court under the Apostille Convention (The Hague Convention of 1961). You can have your translation fitted with an apostille or legalisation.

Can ChatGPT translate my regulations with legal validity?

No. A legally valid translation requires a signed statement of accuracy from a sworn translatorin question. An AI model cannot legally provide that statement. That is why you always have your regulations that you use officially translated by a sworn translator.
