Certified driver's declaration translation

Do you need a sworn translation of your rider declaration for use abroad? At Ecrivus International you order that translation easily online. A rider declaration is a private document in which the registered keeper states who was driving the vehicle at a particular moment, for example in connection with a traffic fine via the CJIB. When is a certified translation necessary?

A foreign authority, insurer or leasing company accepts a translation of a rider declaration often only if it is sworn. A sworn translator provides the translation with a stamp, a signature and a statement confirming that the translation matches the original. This gives the translated document the same legal value as your original rider declaration.

What is a driver's declaration?

A rider declaration is a private document in which the registered keeper states who was driving a vehicle at a particular moment. Such a declaration is often requested for a traffic fine via the CJIB, or for a leased or company car. The document is not issued by a government body, but signed by the registered keeper themselves.
