A sworn translation is a translation made by a sworn translator: a translator who has taken the oath before the court and is listed in the Register of Sworn Interpreters and Translators (Rbtv). The translator attaches the translation to your document and provides it with a stamp and a signed declaration. This makes the translation legally valid and accepted by governments, courts and authorities at home and abroad. You may also encounter this form as a certified or attested translation.
At Ecrivus Multimedia you order your sworn translation online. You provide your document, choose the language combination and receive a translation that meets the official requirements. Are you looking for a sworn translator for a specific language? Wij werken in 45 talencombinaties.
If you use the translation abroad, the authority sometimes asks for an apostille or legalisation. An apostille legalises the origin of the document; the sworn certification guarantees the accuracy of the translation. So these are two separate steps. We can have your sworn translation provided with an apostille, so that the document is also usable internationally.
A sworn translation is a translation of an official document by a sworn translator registered in the Rbtv. The translator confirms with a stamp and declaration that the translation is accurate and complete, which makes the document legally valid.
You order a sworn translation from us from €59, including stamp and shipping. The price depends on the document type, the language combination and the size. You see the price in advance at the relevant product.
No. A sworn translation confirms that the translation is accurate. An apostille is a separate certification that legalises the origin of a document for use abroad. For many foreign authorities you need both, and we can combine this for you.
The translation itself does not expire. However, some authorities ask for a recent source document, for example an extract no older than three or six months. So always check the requirements of the authority requesting the translation.
