What is a cooperation agreement?

A cooperation agreement is a contract between two or more parties setting out the arrangements for a joint collaboration. In English this is usually called a cooperation agreement, collaboration agreement or partnership agreement. For use with a foreign partner, authority or court a sworn translation of this contract is often needed.

Why a sworn translation?

A sworn translation is produced by a translator sworn in by a Dutch court and registered in the Dutch Register of Sworn Interpreters and Translators (Rbtv). The translator attaches a statement with stamp and signature to the translation. This makes the translation officially certified and legally valid, which an ordinary translation is not. For use abroad you can also have your document fitted with an apostille or legalisation.

Yes. For use abroad you can have your document fitted with an apostille or legalisation. An apostille is issued by the court under the Apostille Convention (The Hague Convention 1961).
