A sworn translation is a translation produced by a sworn translator registered with the court. The translator binds the translation to a copy of the original and provides the whole with a stamp, signature and a statement that the translation is a faithful rendering of your purchase agreement in this way. As a result, the translation is recognised as an official document by authorities at home and abroad.

Apostille and legalisation

For use abroad the receiving party sometimes asks for an apostille. An apostille is a statement with which the court confirms the signature of the sworn translator in question. Countries that are party to the Apostille Convention (The Hague Convention of 1961) accept a document with apostille without further legalisationin those countries.
