What is a sworn translation of competition rules?

The translator provides the translation with a stamp, signature and statement that makes the document legally valid. Why a sworn translation?
An ordinary translation is not always sufficient for competition rules that must have legal value. With a sworn translation you have a document that is accepted by authorities and parties abroad. The translation is handled by a sworn legal translator and includes proofreading and quality checksas standard. Do you also need an apostille or legalisation too? That is possible. A apostille is issued by the court under the Apostille Convention (the Hague Convention of 1961).
